Yahoo Lifestyle Dan Da Dan To Stream On Both Netflix and Crunchyroll This October

Dan Da Dan, the new anime series from anime production studio Science Saru, has finally been given a release date, after being revealed late last year.
Dan Da Dan is a new series from Science Saru, which recently worked on the Scott Pilgrim anime, and tells the story of a boy who believes in aliens and a girl who believes in ghosts coming together to learn about both. The script has been written by Hiroshi Seko, who worked on Attack on Titan’s final season and Jujutsu Kaisen, and directed by Fuga Yamashiro.
The new series is set to be released in October 2024, and curiously will be made available on both Netflix and Crunchyroll as it airs. It’ll be available on Crunchyroll worldwide, excluding Asia, with episodes becoming available shortly after their airing in Japan.
Netflix also says it will be streaming Dan Da Dan worldwide, although it doesn’t make any mention of restrictions or exclusions. At this stage it’s unknown if the two different services will be using their own separate subtitles, or if they’ll use the same subtitle track — it’ll be interesting to see how that pans out.
A new trailer was also released for the series — two, actually, one from Netflix and one from Crunchyroll. They use a lot of the same footage, just cut together differently, and each has its own very strange segment at the end. You can watch both of them below.

This is a story about Momo, a high school girl who comes from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic. After Momo rescues Okarun from being bullied, they begin talking. However, an argument ensues between them since Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens exist, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts exist.
To prove to each other what they believe in is real, Momo goes to an abandoned hospital where a UFO has been spotted and Okarun goes to a tunnel rumored to be haunted. To their surprise, they each encounter overwhelming paranormal activities that transcend comprehension. Amid these predicaments, Momo awakens her hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse to overcome these new dangers! Their fateful love begins as well!?
The story of the occult battle and adolescence starts!
