Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott Is Engaged to Girlfriend Sarah Jane Ramos! '4ever'

The NFL player announced his engagement on Instagram on Friday along with a photo of Ramos and the couple's daughter Margaret Jane Rose Prescott

Dak Prescott is engaged!

The NFL star, 31, popped the question to girlfriend Sarah Jane Ramos, 30, during the Dallas Cowboys' bye week. His Oct. 18 Instagram Story announcing their engagement revealed that their 7-month-old daughter, Margaret Jane "MJ" Rose, also played a vital part in the proposal.

In the photo, Prescott and Ramos kiss outside while holding their baby girl who was wearing a onesie one with the message: "Hi Mommy, Daddy has a question for you!?"

"4ever w/ @sarahjane," wrote Prescott, who became the highest paid player in NFL history after he signed a four-year contract extension worth $240 million this year.

The ring by Jason of Beverly Hills is a 10 carat emerald cut, positioned between two tapered baguettes and set onto an 18 karat yellow gold setting.

"In my business, there are high maintenance clients and then there's Dak. Dak was so easy to work with and was very intentional with every detail of this ring," said Jason Arasheben, CEO Jason of Beverly Hills of the design process. "He was involved in every aspect and really wanted this to be a ring she would love. He wanted something classic but with a little flare and that's exactly what we did"

The newly engaged couple have largely kept their relationship private, but were first linked in September 2023, after Ramos watched the Cowboys beat the New York Giants in the first week of the 2023 NFL season.

Ramos gave another glimpse into their romance on her 30th birthday. In an Instagram carousel, she shared a photo of her and Prescott enjoying a birthday meal, along with several photos of her taking in a Cowboys game with her family.

"I truly have everything I could wish for and have a feeling this next chapter will be the best one yet," she captioned the post.

The two announced they were expecting a baby last November.

"Being your parents is the biggest blessing life has to offer and we are so fortunate that you are ours!" Prescott and Ramos captioned an Instagram post in March announcing their Feb. 29 Leap Day baby. "Welcome into this world, baby girl, you will always be loved and protected! We are so IN LOVE with you ♥️ Love, Mom & Dad 🙏."

In July, Prescott shared a carousel of images on Instagram featuring Ramos and their daughter.

"Moments & Memories" he captioned the images which included a shot of the tro in matching Burberry outfits, plus a photo of Prescott cuddling their daughter in a Cowboys jersey with his number 4 on it and the couple's dogs.

In an interview with PEOPLE in Sept. 2023, the NFL star opened up about his career on the field.

"Football has always been peace for me," says Prescott. "It's always been my safe haven, I guess you could say."

"I want people to understand that I'm an everyday guy, just as they are, that set a goal, and it was to be in the NFL. And I worked my butt off each and every day to get into the position that I am. It's a blessing to do what I love at the highest level, so I don't take anything for granted."
