“Congratulations” are in order for Dallas Cowboys player Brandon Aubrey — because Post Malone is a fan!

Before Thursday Night Football on Sept. 26, the singer and the kicker, both 29, connected on the field at MetLife Stadium prior to the Cowboys facing off against the New York Giants.

In a video from the interaction shared by the Cowboys on X (formerly Twitter), the lifelong Cowboys fan got Aubrey — a second-year player who has one of the most accurate legs in the league — to sign his No. 17 jersey.

The two dapped up, hugged and shared a short conversation before Aubrey went to get ready for the game, which the Cowboys won, 20-15.

The Grapevine, Texas native is hardly Aubrey’s only fan. The Notre Dame product has an unconventional backstory to go along with his deadly accurate range.

Aubrey played professional soccer with Toronto FC before joining the USFL’s Birmingham Stallions for two seasons on his circuitous route to the NFL.

The Cowboys signed the kicker in 2023, but not before he worked for five years as a software development engineer at GM Financial, which happens to be down the road from AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Aubrey and his wife, Jenn, were watching an NFL game when they realized he should give pro sports another chance, according to ESPN.

"It actually wasn't after seeing [an NFL player's] missed kick, because I think anytime a player misses an opportunity, the reaction is, 'Oh, I could've done that,' " Jenn told the outlet. "We were just watching a game and I was thinking, 'Honestly, Brandon can do that.' “

Aubrey started working with a kicking coach in the Dallas area, which led to him meet Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott — who became so impressed with his talent that he nicknamed him “Butter" — and catch the attention of Cowboys scouts.

Over 20 games since joining the team last season, Aubrey had only missed two field goals, before going wide-right on a 51-yard attempt on Thursday night. Just a few days earlier in a loss against the Baltimore Ravens, the kicker set a franchise record, nailing a 65-yard attempt.

Following the game on Thursday night, Prescott joked that Aubrey missed because it was “too short.”

“He's special, he's a great talent,” Prescott told reporters. “I think that [last] one was too short for him. He just wanted to give them a little bit of a cinematic end right there."
