Dakota Johnson Paired a Fiery Red Jumpsuit With a Controversial Shoe

A bold choice for February, but it works.

Dakota Johnson made a bold — and cold? — impression while out and about in the Soho neighborhood of New York City on February 7th.

Carrying the torch on this season's red trend, the actress was photographed exiting a building in a firey red jumpsuit paired with an oversized leather blazer, oval sunglasses, and a circular straw handbag. The cool look was topped off with barely perceivable brown platform sandals (hey, her pants were long) — a controversial choice for a wintry February day on the East Coast, where early morning temps hovered in the 30s.

The 50 Shades star paired the outfit with glossy side-swept bangs, delicate drop earrings, and multiple rings. She also sported a trendy milky manicure in a sheer white color, which added a minimalist touch to the otherwise bright and daring ensemble.

Lately, Johnson has been busy promoting Marvel's upcoming thriller Madame Web, in which she plays a clairvoyant New York City paramedic alongside Sydney Sweeney, Emma Roberts, and Mike Epps, ahead of its Valentine’s Day premiere. And this all-red look is just the latest in a string of fashionable appearances.

Most recently, she wore a spider-inspired, sparkle-covered gown to the premiere — no doubt a nod to the movie's title — with a matching hood designed by Annie's Ibiza. Other standouts from the press tour include a cropped blazer set that would make the corporate siren girlies on TikTok proud and a perfect teeny tiny LBD for an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
