Dairy Queen Customers ‘Anxiously Waiting’ for Nationwide Rollout of New Dipped Cone Flavor

It was recently announced that a fan-favorite Dairy Queen item was making a comeback in select markets, and now, customers are hopeful that a broader release is in the works.

DQ's Cotton Candy Dipped Cone was initially introduced four years ago with a limited-edition light blue dip inspired by the sweet, fluffy, light-as-air confection.

The baby blue dip became an immediate hit with fans before it quietly disappeared from menus sometime in 2021, and now that it's returning with a pink-hued twist, people are wondering when they'll be able to get their hands on one.

Food blog Snack Betch shared more news about the release in an Instagram post on Wednesday, Sept. 18, adding yet another dipped cone flavor into the mix—and this one's brand-new: Dark Chocolate Crunch.

"New Dairy Queen Dipped Cones: Dark Chocolate Crunch and Pink Cotton Candy!" the caption of the social media upload read. "These are both being tested in select markets right now—info found on Reddit and DQ Facebook fan pages."

It is worth noting, though, that the foodie pointed out the current uncertainty surrounding the menu additions: "Items are speculated and not confirmed."

Still, the duo of icy sweet treats got fans excited for what's (likely) to come, as they hit the comments to welcome the new flavors with open arms.

"Oh, BOTH of these 2 new ice cream cones look delicious," one said, in part, as another admitted, "I do love dark chocolate…."

"Cotton candy would be solid 👏👏," a third applauded, with a fourth declaring they'll be "Anxiously waiting 😃."

Someone else couldn't help but notice, "That looks so good," in part.
