‘Criminal Minds’ Alum Looks Nearly Unrecognizable During Recent Sighting in Los Angeles
Jeanne Tripplehorn was recently spotted out and about in Southern California, though those who passed her on the street might not have recognized the actress who rose to fame with several high-profile movie roles in the 1990s.
Tripplehorn, who starred alongside Tom Cruise in the 1993 adaptation of author John Grisham’s legal thriller The Firm, was photographed walking through a neighborhood in Los Angeles earlier this week. The photos were later published by The Daily Mail on Saturday, Jan. 18.
In the snapshots, Tripplehorn, 61, wore a black turtleneck sweater, blue jeans and a pair of sturdy black boots. Her long brown hair was worn down, and she looked out at her surroundings from behind a thick pair of glasses with clear frames. She was seen holding an iPhone in her hands as she glanced around the street.
Tripplehorn starred in a handful of successful movies as she kicked off her career in Hollywood in the early 1990s. In addition to The Firm, she also appeared in 1992’s Basic Instinct with Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone, 1995’s Waterworld with Kevin Costner and 1999’s Mickey Blue Eyes with Hugh Grant. A decade later, she earned a Primetime Emmy nomination for her portrayal of former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy in the 2009 HBO drama Grey Gardens.
The Criminal Minds alum appeared on the popular CBS police procedural as Dr. Alex Blake during its eighth and ninth seasons. In recent years, Tripplehorn has acted in the HBO historical drama The Gilded Age and in Amazon Prime Video’s action thriller The Terminal List. As Tripplehorn announced last spring, she was also cast in a new Sterlin Harjo drama initially titled The Sensitive Kind, though a premiere date for the new series has yet to be announced.
