Melvin and his family picked up Myles in Virginia on Dec. 30. On an episode of the morning show in early January, he shared that the dog's first name was a nod to Spider-Man's Miles Morales and that Sybil chose the middle name.
The couple surprised their children on Christmas morning with dog toys and bowls wrapped underneath the tree, before revealing that they were getting a puppy.
"It has been a magical few days," Melvin said on the broadcast, adding, "He's the great unifier."
Melvin and Czarniak shared a joint Instagram post with a video of Delano and Sybil meeting Myles for the first time.
The couple captioned their post, "We started the year off welcoming our newest family member. Meet Myles. We are smitten already❤️ #love #puppy #family #dog."
On TODAY, Melvin observed how Myles' presence in his home has helped diffuse tension. When Sheinelle Jones asked if Melvin's family is "all in his [Myles'] face," he noted that they've "got to give Myles some space."
"And my wife, Lindsay, is just as bad as the kids," he continued, saying that he tells his family to let Myles "walk around" a bit without being bothered.

Jones then predicted, "I feel like I'm going to see you with Myles a lot," to which Al Roker replied, "That's right. Oh gosh, no, you know it."
