Back in August, the musician and his wife revealed their happy news exclusively with PEOPLE, sharing that they'd always dreamed of becoming parents together.
“It's very surreal to know that we're going to be parents,” exclaimed Smith. “We're over the moon about it. It’s very surreal. It hasn't quite kicked in for the both of us yet, but we're super excited.”
While the couple admitted that the pregnancy was "definitely unplanned," they said it was something that they have always wanted.
“I think that family is one of the most important things for both of us, and we have really great parents and family members that have modeled that very well,” said Hannah. “So that's always been something we were excited about but didn't think it would happen this soon. But we're excited.”
At the time, the couple said they hadn't yet started preparing for the baby.
“We've got some onesies and we've got some baby Nike shoes,” laughed Smith. “We've still got a long way to go, but we've got a room in our house that we are all planned out for. We're waiting until we see whether it's going to be a boy or a girl before we start really designing it. But we're ready. We're ready for it.”
