'Counting On' Star Jason Duggar Named in Arkansas Lawsuit—Here's What We Know

Former Counting On star Jason Duggar was named in a new lawsuit in Arkansas.

On Sept. 10, a man named Mark Thompson filed a lawsuit in Benton County against Duggar and Madison Holding LLC—accusing them of fraud, negligence and breach of contract and breach of warranties—KNWA-TV reported.

Thompson alleged that he signed a contract to purchase a home in Bella Vista, Ark., from Madison Holding, with Duggar, 24, as the contractor. The agreement included 22 repairs within 30 days. However, most of the repairs were allegedly incomplete after 11 months.

Allegedly, Duggar did not complete work in the master bedroom and bathroom. He also allegedly did not fully install the sod, repair crown molding in the second story of the home or fix roofing issues.

In Thompson's complaint, he alleged that Duggar communicated regarding the roofing problems in April or May. However, in late May, Duggar allegedly wanted Thompson to pay someone else to complete the repairs.

The plaintiff is seeking monetary damages, including the cost to make the repair and Thompson’s attorney costs and fees.

The lawsuit was filed less than two weeks after Duggar announced his engagement to a woman named Maddie via Instagram. "On 8/24, Jase asked me to marry him, and I could not be more excited!!" Duggar and Maddie shared in a joint update.

In the comments, Duggar replied, "She said yes!!❤️💍."

Duggar is the 12th-born child of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar and appeared on TLC's 19 Kids and Counting and its spinoff Counting On.
