Costco Shoppers Are Stocking Up on This Delicious New Korean Snack They Call 'the Best'

Imagine a world where Costco exists with specialized warehouses dedicated to their most famous products. A snack-only warehouse, for example, where customers can secure their favorite treats without getting distracted by the vast selection of the other products. Imagine a giant bakery location filled with the best and brightest of Costco’s past and present bakery creations. And let's not get started with our idea of a stand-alone Costco food court, complete with a drive-thru and children's play place to boot.

It’s no secret that Costco has unlocked the cheat code to our collective cravings. And while we as fans are always dreaming up ways to improve our beloved Costco experience, the brand already does an excellent job existing as is. In terms of snacks and munchies, little improvements are needed, and countless fan-favorite products still manage to make their way to the top of our social media feeds on a weekly basis.

Just this week, we discovered a tasty offering being shared online by the always reliable Costco Deals by way of mint_pdxfoodie in Oregon. While shopping at her local warehouse for new deals, mint_pdxfoodie found an undeniably sweet and spicy offering from Soban Korean Pantry: Korean Sweet and Spicy Puffs.

“Finally! Found this Korean sweet & spicy puffs @costco in Oregon,” mint_pdxfoodie wrote. “Don’t have to tell you how much I love this snack,” she continued, “stock them up for real.”

Korean Sweet and Spicy Puffs are currently being sold in 10.58-ounce bags for $8.49. There are about 10-servings inside of each bag with about 240 calories per serving and 8 grams of fat.

What makes these puffs so tasty is their Yangnyeom-style seasoning, which is inspired by the traditional Korean fried chicken dish that is coated in a sweet and spicy sauce. The name “yangnyeom” translates to “seasoned” in Korean, and the sauce is generally made with gochujang pepper paste, garlic, sugar, ketchup and strawberry jam.

“Oooh, I love all the Korean brands/snacks Costco is starting to carry,” wrote one super intrigued commenter online. Another chimed in with “These are the BEST!”

As of now, the new Korean snack offering has not been confirmed as being available nationwide. After first being spotted in Oregon, we can assume the snack is making its way through west coast warehouse locations as we speak. Here’s hoping the sweet and spicy snack makes its way across the country sooner than later for the sake of our tastebuds.
