Costco Just Brought Back One of Its Most Popular Holiday Items, and It's Guaranteed to Fly Off Shelves Fast
If there’s one thing we’ve learned about holiday meals, it's that some people take their favorite side dishes, entrees and desserts very seriously. We’ve all had that one family member who wouldn’t let anyone else carve the turkey, and there’s always a grandmother somewhere whose casserole is a mealtime staple the entire family looks forward to year round.
The holiday season is all about spreading joy, giving thanks and celebrating another year around the sun with those we cherish most. The holidays are also about showing off your favorite mealtime exploits, which Costco makes easier than ever for those looking to devour ham like a genuine medieval knight. For the unaware, we’re talking about the fan-favorite return of the Noel Consorcio Serrano Ham Reserva Leg, a 14-pound hock of meat that has been aged for at least 12 months and produced in the wonderful region of Spain.

“My Costco finally had the Serrano ham leg! Taste’s exactly like the good stuff from Madrid,” wrote one Reddit user who authored a post about the return ham product. “It’s $100 but that’s an amazing price for Serrano ham from Spain. It comes with the stand and knife too.”

The Noel Consorcio Jamon Serrano Bone-In Ham Leg is a novelty item in its own right, while also quite possibly the best ham you can get on the market so long as you have the mouths to feed with it. This is a 100-percent natural, bone-in ham made from the best white pig's meat, with no added nitrites and nitrates included. The ham is usually sold for around $119, but can sometimes be found closer to the holidays discounted to $100.
Within this price point, customers can expect to receive one 14-pound ham leg that has been aged for a minimum of 12 months, cured in the Pyrenees region with Mediterranean Sea Salt and shipped to Costco for their convenience from Spain.
“Bought one last year,” one commenter wrote in response to the post shared to Reddit. “In my opinion, the idea of the giant ham was better than the reality of the giant ham,” they responded in jest. “This ham leg is going to be my contribution to the family Christmas party this year,” wrote another, “It will be gone by New Years.”

Anyone considering snagging one of these massive legs this holiday season should take note that the product will come with everything you need to serve, including the stand, a knife and complete carving instructions. Additionally, the ham is gluten free, lactose free and free of all artificial coloring. When not in use, the ham should be stored in a cool, dry place that is away from sunlight to ensure long lasting flavor all through the holiday season.
