As if we needed any more evidence that Christina Aguilera is thee experimental hair muse of our generation (read: she is the trailblazer behind two-tone hair), the singer has only gone and debuted bubble gum pink highlights in honor of Valentine's Day. Cupid would be proud.
Over on Instagram, Xtina shared a five-part carousel post fronted by a glam selfie, in which she dons a brand-new hairstyle. While she has kept her signature platinum blonde root [insert collective sigh of relief, here], the singer has had baby pink highlights weaved in throughout.

“But what makes the look so nostalgic?” I hear you ask. Well, instead of the sun-kissed highlights that many of us seem to have today, trends are slowly rewinding things back a couple of decades. Back in the 90s-meets-early 00s, millennials would rock the crimped wave, choppy bangs and probably the most memorable style of all, hairstreaks and chunky highlights.
