Reality TV personality Chase Chrisley is facing legal repercussions after being accused of slapping a bar manager in Atlanta.

The Chrisley Knows Best and Growing up Chrisley star, 28, was arrested Thursday by the Atlanta Police Department, three days after an altercation at Twin Peaks Sports Bar, according to police records reviewed by Entertainment Weekly. Chrisley was charged with simple battery and released on a $10,000 bond.

Chrisley's attorneys Drew Findling, Marissa Goldberg, and Zack Findling said the incident "has been entirely blown out of proportion" in a statement provided to Entertainment Weekly on Friday. "Chase Chrisley had done the right thing that evening by calling a driver to take him home. He did not assault anyone. Chase was trying to close out his tab and leave. We will be independently investigating the situation."

According to a police incident report, the bar manager told officers that Chrisley became "really drunk" around 7:35 p.m., and that he "started to act very disrespectful and [belligerent]," prompting the manager to ask him to leave. The manager claims that Chrisley then slapped him in the face two times. Chrisley was no longer at the scene by the time authorities arrived.

Police also released audio from the manager's 911 call. In the recording, the caller can be heard repeatedly telling someone, "Do not touch me." The caller says, "There's a guest I'm trying to ask to leave politely. He's being a little aggressive, and he actually assaulted me with his hand, now he's in my face."

The caller goes on to tell the 911 operator that the customer "got a driver being very polite trying to get him to leave." Before the end of the call, the manager repeatedly claims, "He just slapped me in the face," and eventually says, "He's leaving the building now."

The police report also indicates that the bar manager has video of the incident from security cameras.

Chrisley rose to fame alongside his family on the reality series Chrisley Knows Best, which ran on the USA Network from 2014 to 2023. He also starred in the spinoff Growing Up Chrisley with his sister Savannah for four seasons.

Both shows were canceled, however, when Chrisley's parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison in November 2022. The couple were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion earlier that year, after first being indicted in 2019.

Following the couple's sentences being reduced in 2023, Julie Chrisley was resentenced last September — to a seven-year sentence, the same length of incarceration she'd been given in her original sentencing.
