Chris Evans Looks Unrecognizable With a Beard and Hot Professor Long Hair

Remember when Steve Carell went gray and was suddenly...hot? Or when Chris Pine ditched his cropped hair for a shaggy surfer look that was also...very hot? Well, get ready for another hot hair moment, because this new look from Chris Evans is also destined to go down in pop culture hair history.

Appearing at a photo call for the film Red One, Evans was barely recognizable with his new, swept back long brunette hair and salt and pepper beard. That's right—his super neat, clean cut look from Captain America is a thing of the past. Instead, it seems the actor has entered his hot professor era. And yes, he was even wearing a pair of retro round glasses.

Evans paired his new hair and glasses with a simple all-black outfit along with a casual blue suede jacket, giving him an off-duty prof look. (Previously, he paired his new hair with a very collegiate olive green suit and turtleneck.)

Although Evans' new look feels very, very different from his usual short-on-the-sides style, it's not actually the first time the Marvel star has let his hair go long. In 2019's The Red Sea Diving Resort, for instance, Evans sported a very similar style. It seems Evans himself is a fan. Back in 2020, he posted a throwback (since deleted) of a previous long hair-and-beard era, writing, "Kinda miss my long hair #tbt."

In 2022, Evans also opened up about his love of beards. "I just hate shaving... just shaving every day, such a pain," he told Etalk.

This latest look, however, is the first time that Evans has really let the flecks of gray in his beard show. It's also the first time we've seen his chic retro glasses. And the look is absolutely an A+.
