Chappell Roan Jokingly Apologizes at Knifepoint for Criticizing “Glee” Holiday Episode: 'I Am So Sorry'
"This is the worst episode of 'Glee' I’ve ever seen," said the "Pink Pony Club" singer while watching the popular musical comedy series
Chappell Roan has been watching Glee — and she has thoughts.
In a series of posts shared to an Instagram account run by Roan and Ramisha Sattar, the "Pink Pony Club" singer slammed the musical comedy series' season 3 episode "Extraordinary Merry Christmas" before delivering a hilariously unserious apology at knifepoint for the comments.
"This is the worst episode of Glee I’ve ever seen," said the 26-year-old musician, laughing through an attempt to appear angry while the episode played behind her in a video shared Dec. 23.
"I’m turning it off. I hate it," added Roan. "Next."
Just about an hour later, another video was shared to the account featuring the Grammy-nominated artist sitting in front of a Christmas tree while the person recording (presumably Sattar) points scissors in Roan's direction.
"This is my apology video for the Gleeks that I offended," she said. "I am so sorry."
"I love every episode of Glee, and I love Kurt and Blaine," added Roan, referring to Chris Colfer and Darren Criss' respective characters, who are in a romantic relationship on the show.
This isn't the first time the "Hot to Go" performer has spoken about watching Glee, which ran from 2009 to 2015. She spoke about the series before a performance in September, according to a video shared to social media.
"I just started watching Glee. I’m on season 2," she told a crowd of fans at the time. "It took me like three full times to try to watch Glee, ‘cause I was like, ‘This is stupid as f---.’ And then I was like, ‘Lean into it.’”

In October, Glee cast member Kevin McHale reacted to Roan's comments on an episode of his And That's What You REALLY Missed podcast with Jenna Ushkowitz. "To be honest, I think that’s how I would’ve felt if I was not on it," he said, agreeing with her statement about the show.
"We love Chappell Roan. She’s so talented," added the actor, who played Artie Abrams on the show. "Happy that she’s blowing up, and I hope you enjoy the rest of Glee."
