Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan finally settle their divorce 6 years after splitting up
The former couple's long-running dispute over funds used to finance "Magic Mike" has been resolved as well.
Six years after they first separated, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have settled their divorce.
The ex-couple finally reached a resolution for an issue that had been keeping the divorce proceedings in the lurch, a representative for Dewan confirmed to Entertainment Weekly on Wednesday. Dewan's legal team argued for years that the popular Magic Mike franchise, which Tatum starred in and co-produced, was developed during their marriage and financed using marital funds.
That dispute has been resolved with a binding judgement, and the two will now avoid a trial that had been slated for December.

A representative for Tatum didn't immediately respond to EW's request for comment.
Dewan, 43, and Tatum, 44, met in 2006 on the set of the dance drama Step Up and got engaged two years later. They married in 2009; welcomed a daughter, Everly, in 2013; and announced their separation in 2018.
The divorce proceedings turned acrimonious amid the Magic Mike dispute, with Dewan's legal team accusing Tatum of hiding assets, which Tatum denied. The two sides also sought testimony in court from one another as Dewan continued pursuing a cut of the Magic Mike intellectual property.

The first Magic Mike film, directed by Steven Soderbergh and released in 2012, earned more than $160 million on a comparatively minuscule $7 million budget. Sequels Magic Mike XXL and and Magic Mike's Last Dance also outgrossed their budgets. Beyond the big screen, the franchise has spawned an HBO reality series, Finding Magic Mike, and a live show presented in London and Las Vegas. It was nearly adapted into a Broadway musical as well.
Dewan and Tatum were declared legally single by a judge in 2019, leaving them free to pursue other relationships as the divorce dragged on.
