Canadian Tuxedos Are Trending at 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards With Shania Twain, Shaboozey and More in Double Denim Looks

The double denim trend was in full force on Thursday in Nashville on the red carpet at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards, which brought together some of the biggest names and entertainers in country music.

As far back as Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake wearing their full denim-on-denim ensemble for the 2001 American Music Awards, the trend has continued to appear on red carpets through the years.

Shaboozey

The “A Bar Song” singer went with a very classic take on the double denim trend wearing a Valentino Garavani Western-style denim shirt and blue jeans in a matching hue. He accessorized the look with black boots, a metallic belt and a black and silver bolo tie. The artist would go on to win the evening’s New Artist award.

Shania Twain

Shania Twain stunned in a Levi’s denim gown that she co-designed. The halter dress featured rhinestones, dagger collars and a sweep train. Twain completed the look with denim opera gloves, a statement diamond pinky ring, and a “flick up” bob, reminiscent of the 1960s.

Cheyenna

Song-writer, Cheyenna, took a boho-chic take on the denim-on-denim trend and wore a vintage blazer by Lori of California, which featured pearl studs and brightly colored gemstones. Cheyenna paired the blazer with bell bottoms in a deep shade of blue. The accessories included gold metallic platform slides, a crushed velvet clutch, jeweled rings and a bolo tie inspired necklace.

Kendall Washington

“Love Island” star Kendall Washington wore a distressed and faded denim look that included a bomber jacket and matching pants with frayed seams. Kendall’s look, fittingly for the occasion, was completed with brown cowboy boots and a black cowboy hat as well as a silver cuban link necklace. The look was styled by Marty Mc’Fresh.

Noah Thompson

Noah Thompson wore a more casual look, with an indigo button-down and skinny jeans. He finished the outfit with light brown Chelsea boots and a black baseball cap. Thompson won the 20th season of “American Idol.”
