Yahoo Lifestyle 'When Calls the Heart' Fans Say Season 12 Will "Be the Best Season"

When Calls the Heart fans are so excited to venture back to Hope Valley... and it looks like the show is too!
The hit Hallmark series will be back for a milestone season 12 beginning January 5, 2025, and viewers are thrilled about what's happening with our favorite citizens of the frontier. Based on a new promo dropped on When Calls the Heart's official Instagram on December 15, folks now have a first look at what's down the line for Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow), Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry), Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) and Lee Coulter (Kavan Smith) and other beloved characters.
As viewers watched Elizabeth and Nathan's newfound romance teased in the clip, they also saw Hope Valley enter a brand-new era. When Calls the Heart is embracing the world of the 1920s (with flapper costumes to boot!), bringing the small town to the radio airwaves and even introducing new characters. But the fun is only just beginning, as the caption shared there's still some time before viewers can actually see what's going on.
"Just THREE WEEKS until the season premiere of When Calls the Heart!" the show's social team wrote alongside the sneak peek. "We will see you January 5th at 9/8c!"
As viewers caught wind of When Calls the Heart dropping a brand-new trailer, it didn't take long before words of excitement permeated the comments.
"This will probably be the best season yet," one person wrote. "12th season!!!! Incredible! Keep the seasons coming! Love WCTH ♡ What an amazing promo, new era, new faces, familiar faces, so excited! 🙌❤️," another penned. While things are still hush-hush about the plot of When Calls the Heart season 12, there are some things we already know about the new installment.
Fans will get to see Little House on the Prairie star Melissa Gilbert join the cast in a recurring role, and she's playing someone who has a past with another Hope Valley citizen. What's more, Elizabeth and Nathan's love will take center stage this season, as the two finally got together after years of longing for one another. And if that wasn't enough, there may be romance in the works for Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally), whose last love was with Elizabeth and ended in a broken engagement back in season 10.
Thank goodness we don't have to wait long for new episodes!
