The Hogan Knows Best reality star and the former NHL player welcomed fraternal twins on Jan. 15, after secretly getting married in June 2022.

Hogan waited until January 2024 to officially introduce her "husband" to her followers on Instagram.

“Here he is, people: The kindest, sweetest badass you'll ever meet. I'm really lucky. God did me a solid on this one,” she wrote. Oleksy echoed his wife’s praises in the comment section: "You have taught me so much about what 'real' means and what truly matters in life. I love you!”

He grew up in Michigan

Oleksy was born to parents Andrew and Susan Oleksy on Feb. 4, 1986, in Chesterfield Township, Mich., according to a bio.

He graduated from L’Anse Creuse High School-North in 2004 and is the first alumni to become a professional athlete, per the school's website. Olesky was inducted into the high school’s Hall of Fame in 2022 and he celebrated the special moment with his family, sharing photos of the night afterward on Instagram.

He went on to attend Lake Superior State University, where he played on the ice hockey team. Oleksy graduated in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in business management and marketing.

He played professional ice hockey

Oleksy is a former professional ice hockey player, who most recently played for the Orlando Solar Bears in the ECHL during the 2022-23 season.

He made his debut with the Las Vegas Wranglers at the end of the 2008-09 ECHL season and went on to play for several ECHL and AHL teams, like the Idaho Steelheads, Hershey Bears and San Diego Gulls.

His NHL experience includes playing for the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins. He was a member of the team when the Penguins won the Stanley Cup in 2016.

He married Hogan in Florida in 2022

Hogan and Oleksy tied the knot on June 8, 2022 — news that was kept secret until the end of 2023 and that she later confirmed on Instagram in January 2024.

“A rare sighting of the husband. We like to keep to ourselves, but somehow the news is out. 🤷🏼‍♀️,” she captioned a black-and-white photo with Oleksy.

The former singer added, “Thank you for all the kind words of celebration and encouragement. We feel so blessed. Thank you for being kind. ☺️ Now back to our regularly scheduled privacy. 😎😎.”

According to a report by TMZ in December 2023, only the bride and groom were in attendance for the ceremony in Florida. A photo captured the newlyweds walking hand-in-hand down the aisle after. The outlet also reported that Hogan and Oleksy had a reception with his family in Michigan.

He likes to keep his relationship with Hogan private

Hogan and Oleksy have not shared how they met or when they began dating, and the former hockey pro has voiced that he intends to keep their marriage out of the limelight.

After news of their nuptials were confirmed in January 2024, Oleksy shared a few thoughts on X (formerly known as Twitter.)

“I value privacy on a deep level, but I guess some secrets are just too amazing to hide forever,” he wrote. “Somehow the news got out, so I just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support. Especially the journalists who chose positivity and kindness.”

He’s a business owner

Oleksy founded the Eastside Elite Hockey League in 2008 as a men’s summer ice hockey league for players of all ages, including professional levels.

In 2019, the Eastside Elite Hockey League rebranded to ESE Hockey and has expanded to include multiple other divisions. According to ESE’s website, they offer hockey tournament experiences in Florida and Michigan, plus golf challenges and community events that fundraise for various organizations.

He says Hogan “enhances” his life

Although Oleksy is planning to keep his marriage private, he did share heartfelt words about Hogan after the news broke of their secret nuptials. The athlete opened up about the qualities he admires in his wife on Instagram.

“So here she is: The strongest, hardest working, incredibly talented, and most authentic person I’ve ever encountered," he wrote. "She embraces a pure love for everyone. Unaffected by surroundings, she lives by a moral code rooted in love, honesty, and compassion — not materialism. ... She enhances not only my life but so many others around her."

Oleksy added, “We’re gonna stay as low key as possible, but we are proud of our marriage and loving the journey we are on. ❤️ @mizzhogan.”

He and Hogan welcomed twins

On Jan. 15, 2025, Hogan and Oleksy welcomed fraternal twins: Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene.

"Our hearts have been made whole by the arrival of these two sweet souls we get to love. God is good," the new mom wrote on Instagram. In a separate Instagram post, Oleksy said: "God kissed us twice."
