Simone Ashley is taking a break from romancing Mister Bridgerton to try her hand at modern love.

The Viscountess is set to star in yet another love story, this time as a woman whose life is turned upside down by an upcoming wedding and the return of a former flame. But just as the title promises, Picture This sees Ashley's Pia learn that the search for love isn't always what you picture it will be.

Despite the lack of ball gowns and Lady Whistledown's meddling, Pia does have at least one thing in common with Ashley's regency heroine, Kate Sharma: she isn't on the prowl for a husband. In fact, she insists she doesn't even want one.

"I'm building a life for myself and I don't need a man to do that," she says in the trailer (below).

Pia is driven and career-focused when we meet her, but whether she likes it or not, love is just around the corner. The film sees her unexpectedly reunited with her ex, played by After star Hero Fiennes Tiffin, who throws her life into chaos. And that's not all.

Ahead of her sister's wedding, Pia receives an ominous prediction: true love awaits her in one of her next five dates. With the promise of romance looming on the horizon, her family decides to play matchmaker, setting Pia up on dates in the hope of kickstarting her future. All the while, she's battling unresolved feelings for the one that got away.

As with any great love story, Pia certainly has options when it comes to finding true love. Ted Lasso alum Phil Dunster appears as one of her many suitors — a hippie himbo who insists that the Earth is flat.

And if that doesn't work out, there's always the charming Asim Chaudhry, who declares, "I'd literally stab a baby in the throat to have your bone structure." Or Nikesh Patel as a sweetheart with a peanut allergy.

A few chaotic dates aside, Pia finds herself forging and rekindling connections, as she begins to envision a new future for herself.

"I thought being independent meant being alone, but taking photos made me realize the kind of life I want to have," she admits. The trailer showcases big laughs, tender moments, and teases at least one big dance number as the love story unfolds.
