‘Bridgerton’ Star Simone Ashley And ‘After’ Star Hero Fiennes Tiffin Reconnect Through A Camera Lens In ‘Picture This’ Trailer

Prime Video’s next rom com is on the way — Picture This starring Bridgerton’s Season 2 diamond Simone Ashley and After’s heartthrob.

In the trailer for the film, which arrives on the streamer March 6, Ashley’s character’s ex boyfriend Charlie (Tiffin) resurfaces and reminds her of what she had romantically before they broke up and she struck out on her own in photography. Her best friend Jay (Luke Fetherston) draws their backstory out of her, and she chalks up their end to his being “another suburban boy” while she is a “smoking hot diva.”

Pia, who questions if she even wants to get married because she’s building a life for herself through her photography, receives the prediction that true love and career success await her in the next five dates she will go on. Her sister Sonal’s (Anoushka Chadha) wedding also looms, and her sister brainstorms the idea to set Pia up on several blind dates, the winner of whom will accompany Pia as a guest to her sister’s wedding. Pia and Sonal’s mother Laxmi (Sindhu Vee) constantly pressures her daughters to find a partner, and she makes a big deal of the wedding jewelry they will have access to for the big day.

Aside from the torch that never quite went out with Charlie, Ashley’s Pia gets set up on three dates with Asim Chaudhry’s heir, Phil Dunster’s (Ted Lasso, Surface) free-spirit and Nikesh Patel’s teacher. But none of them seem to connect with her the way she does with Charlie despite the extreme situations that test chemistry: nut allergy, walking across hot coals and all.

The flick, inspired by the Australian film Five Blind Dates is directed by Prarthana Mohan, writtin by Nikita Lalwani and executive produced by Ashley, Christelle Conan, Kari Hatfield, Joshua Horsfield, Darragh Matthews and Peter Touche. Producers include Ben Pugh and Erica Steinberg.
