Brad Pitt 'tired and drawn' at first public appearance since Angelina split
Brad Pitt attended his first post-split red carpet appearance this week for a fan event for his film Allied, but seemed tired and deep in thought as he posed alone for cameras.
Indeed, the actor's unshaven greying beard and gaunt, drawn face was a far cry from his usual polished look.
But it's hard to blame him for his dishevelled look, given his current circumstances, as the 52-year-old star has been caught up in an ugly custody battle with his estranged wife Angelina Jolie over their six kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Knox, and Vivienne.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Angie had won full custody of their children, but a source allegedly close to the Fight Club actor told Page Six: “There was no new agreement signed ... [it] was simply an extension of the pre-existing, completely voluntary temporary arrangement they had previously agreed to.”
“This makes no sense because Pitt filed for joint custody on Friday ... days after this supposed 'new' agreement,” the insider tells the New York Post.
“There were absolutely not any child-care advisers of any kind imposing or in any way involved with this decision."
On Monday, Angelina’s reps released a statement revealing that the couple, who split in September, had reached a final agreement during a consultation with childcare professionals that she will be the sole carer of her kids, with Brad only receiving "therapeutic visits."
"This has been determined by childcare professionals to be in the children's best interest," Ange's spokesperson said in a statement.
"We are not in a position to discuss the details. We hope now that it is clear that the events which led to the dissolution filing involved minor children and their wellbeing, there will be understanding of the sensitivity of the family situation.
"We believe that all sides are committed to healing the family and ask for your consideration during this difficult time."

It seems Angie's statement was in fact a continuation of the temporary agreement made following the couple's shock split.
The By The Sea actress filed for divorce from her co-star and husband of 12 years just days after the alleged flight fight on their private jet. Her attorney said their breakup was due to “irreconcilable differences” and the split was “for the health of the family.”
