Beyoncé is one proud mom in a new rare interview. When filming a behind-the-scenes video with Disney Studios for her and Blue Ivy Carter's movie Mufasa, the singer gushed about her eldest child, who plays Kiara, Simba and Nala's daughter.

“We’re here today recording The Lion King,” Beyoncé—who reprises her role of as Nala in the live action sequel—says while sitting next to Blue in the clip shared to TikTok. Blue chimed in to share her excitement for making her feature film debut.

“If I told my younger self that I was in a movie, I’d never believe myself," she said.

“Well, you are, girl. You are," her mom praises. At one point in the video, Beyoncé gets emotional in the recording studio after hearing her daughter's voice acting. “Give me a second because I’m still just—I can’t believe that’s my baby,” she said while wiping away a tear. “That’s so amazing.”

“Seeing Blue as Kiara and hearing her voice come out of that character...It was really hard to focus and do my job after that," she explained. "I was like, ‘Wait, hold up guys. Y’all gotta give me a second. I have to digest that.’ I’m so proud of her.”

Blue then went on to describe her experience working on the film, which she called "amazing."

“I feel like everybody that’s a part of this is so helpful and supportive," she said. "The director, Barry [Jenkins], is a really sweet person and he tells me ways that I can improve in my lines. And he’s very supportive of me and tells me in the nicest way possible.”

“I’m really happy for girls who look like me all around the world are able to watch this movie and hear and see themselves in it," she added.

One of Beyoncé's younger twins, Rumi Carter, also makes a rare cameo in the clip. At one point, she runs into the shot to hug Beyoncé. "Hello, mommy," Rumi sweetly says. "Somebody wants to join," Beyoncé responds with a laugh.

The singer and 12-year-old attended the premiere for Mufasa: The Lion King, which hits theaters on December 20, earlier this week at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. For their mother-daughter night out, the two Grammy winners matched in golden gilded gowns. Beyoncé wore a plunging Balmain dress with metallic circular details, while Blue coordinated in a custom Christian Siriano ballgown. The two looked like twins while they posed together for the flashing cameras.
