Blue Bell's Newest Ice Cream Flavor Combines 2 of Our Favorite Desserts

This summer has been hot, and there is no better way to cool down than by enjoying cold, creamy ice cream. Blue Bell has supplied us with delicious frozen treats for over 100 years. And while we appreciate classics like buttered pecan and mint chocolate chip, we also love it when the brand offers us something new.

We have plenty to choose from between Blue Bell’s A&W Root Beer Float Ice Cream, the re-released Oatmeal Pie, and Southern Blackberry Cobbler, but now there is another flavor to add to the lineup this season.

Blue Bell's New Cookies 'n Cream Cheesecake Ice Cream

Blue Bell recently released its new Cookies 'n Cream Cheesecake Ice Cream just in time for the dog days of summer, not to mention National Ice Cream Day (July 21) and National Cheesecake Day (July 30). Available for a limited time, the new flavor is made with cheesecake ice cream and pieces of chocolate cookie-crusted cheesecake and chocolate cream-filled cookies.

“Of course, we enjoy ice cream every day at Blue Bell, but to make July a little extra special, we have introduced our new Cookies ‘n Cream Cheesecake Ice Cream,” Sara Schramm, marketing brand manager, said in a recent press release. “If you love our Cookies ‘n Cream Ice Cream and cheesecake, this is your dream flavor. We combined our crème-filled cookies with cheesecake ice cream and kicked it up another notch with the chocolate cookie crusted cheesecake pieces. A delicious treat in every bite.”

Instagram user @grocery_obsessed recently announced the new flavor, then immediately followed that post with a taste test video. Commenters were quick to add their thoughts after trying this new flavor. One said, “I was literally eating it as I posted. It’s delicious.” Another person added, "Bought a pint today. It's already gone."

On another Instagram post, @powered_by_munchies noted that it comes in half gallons and pints and was recently seen at Walmart. The post also says, “Cannot wait to dig into this later on,” and asks if others are ready to try it. Many seem eager to get their hands on the ice cream, with one commenting, “This looks delicious looking forward to trying this new flavor.” One fan who already tried it confirmed that “it’s really good."
