Blake Lively's Sunny Yellow Outfit Is the Sartorial Answer to Beating the Winter Blues
And don't even get us started on her Hawaiian-print heels.
With winter officially in full swing, the days are shorter and the skies are gray, but that doesn't mean your clothes have to reflect the doom-and-gloom of the season. Just look at Blake Lively, who delivered dopamine dressing at its finest while arriving at the 2024 Beauty Inc Awards at the Rainbow Room in New York City on Wednesday.
For the occasion, the actress wore a sunny yellow monochromatic outfit that was comprised of a blousy sequined top that was unbuttoned past her bust and below the waist and a matching pair of straight-leg trousers. She accessorized with a quilted Chanel handbag in the same exact buttery shade and added an extra dose of joy with her multi-colored, Hawaiian-printed Christian Louboutin heels. Her shoes featured a crackled leather surface along with colorful spikes, a classic pointed toe, and a sharp heel.
Lively topped off her look with chandelier earrings clustered with a rainbow of different stones that peeked out from beneath her bouncy blowout, a glossy pink lip, shimmery eyeshadow, and glowing skin.
The annual Beauty Inc Awards recognizes the industry’s standout performers of the past 12 months, and this year, Lively was named the Newcomer of the Year for her debut hair care line, Blake Brown. The collection, which features a total of eight products that include shampoos, masks, and other styling products Lively uses to maintain her own hair, was released in August and took seven years to develop.
"There are a lot of great options out there, but nothing that was doing all the things that I wanted, which was clean formulas with incredible performance at a mass price point with a fragrance that I would spray on my body," Lively said at the time, adding: “I didn't want to step into something that someone else had already created because I wanted to replicate the systems and the patterns that I already loved."
