Blake Lively Pokes Fun at Kate Middleton Photoshop Drama to Announce Her New Betty Buzz Products
“I’m so excited to share this new photo I just took today," Lively teased in an Instagram post
Blake Lively seems to have royal inspiration for her latest Betty Buzz campaign.
On Friday, the actress, 36, who founded the sparkling mixer company in 2021, used social media to announce four new flavors of her Betty Buzz and Betty Booze drinks, which are launching in May.
In an Instagram post, Lively seemingly played off the controversy around Kate Middleton's Mother's Day photo.
“I’m so excited to share this new photo I just took today to announce our 4 new @bettybuzz & @bettybooze products! Now you know why I’ve been MIA,” the Gossip Girl alum wrote in her caption of the carousel.

In the first photo, Lively sits in a chair while lounging next to a pool, smiling as she holds one of the newest flavors to be added to her beverage brand.
However, the photoshoot appears to include a few Photoshop fails. For starters, her right hand has an abnormally large thumb and a ring is warped across a couple of her fingers. The chair she sits in defies the laws of physics by not being connected.
There is also a disproportionate lemon falling from the sky above her.
Lively’s campaign follows Kate's family photo controversy. On March 10, the Princess of Wales, 42, released an official photo with her children to celebrate Mother’s Day in the U.K.
What was meant to be a sweet holiday picture soon caused quite a stir as viewers noticed that a few things did not seem natural in the portrait. Royal watchers later found at least 16 editing mistakes that proved the image was photoshopped.
Errors included: Princess Charlotte's hair being oddly cut off, Prince Louis's finger being seemingly cut off, and Princess Kate's hair appearing airbrushed, among other discrepancies.

Kate later released an apology and admitted that she does "occasionally experiment with editing" following the backlash.
On Thursday, Instagram even issued a warning regarding the image.
Meanwhile, Lively’s photo was a hit on social media.
“Haters will say it’s photoshop,” the official Betty Buzz Instagram account commented. “Kate works hard, but Blake works harder,” another person wrote.
The new flavors consist of two brand new sparkling canned cocktails, Sparkling Tequila with Smoky Pineapple and Sparkling Bourbon with Oak Smoked Lemonade. Lively also announced that two flavors from pre-existing Betty Booze flavors will soon be available in mocktail form, Sparkling Oak Smoked Lemonade and Sparkling Apple Ginger Sour Cherry from Betty Buzz.
"Cannot wait for you to try," she wrote. "Coming in May…."
