Will Blake Lively Attend the 2025 Golden Globes?
Her husband Ryan Reynolds's film 'Deadpool & Wolverine' is up for an award.
Like the rest of us, Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, will be watching the 2025 Golden Globes from the comfort of their own home.
Despite Reynolds's film Deadpool & Wolverine being nominated in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category at this year's ceremony, the couple—along with the actor's costar Hugh Jackman—decided to sit this one out amid Lively's ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
According to sources at Deadline, the trio's decision to not attend the ceremony was made “well in advance” of Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni and isn’t related the scandal.
Last month, Lively filed a legal complaint against Baldoni for sexual harassment and a strategic smear campaign to ruin her reputation. Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman called the claims “false,” and the actor filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times over the newspaper's article about Lively's complaint as a result.
Amid the legal battle, Lively has been supported by a number of women in Hollywood–including Amber Heard and her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants costars Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera, and Amber Tamblyn. And now it appears, she can also count this year's Golden Globes host, Nikki Glaser, in her corner.
"I think the Blake Lively–Justin Baldoni thing is such a hot-button thing right now that even a mere mention of it will seem like I could be on the wrong side of things, even though I would never be," Glaser told Yahoo! Entertainment about why she won't be making any It Ends With Us jokes. She added, "I also don't want to give his name any—I'm mad I even know his name, to be honest with you, so I don't need to say it anymore."
The 82nd annual Golden Globes will air live on Sunday, January 5 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
