Blackpink Announces 10-City International Tour, Including L.A., NYC and Chicago Stadium Stops

The plethora of solo albums from Blackpink members is not keeping the K-pop quartet from getting back together to play stadiums. This summer the group will play a “limited” run of large-scale shows in 10 cities around the world, including North American stops in L.A.. New York, Chicago and Toronto, it was announced Wednesday.

The tour begins with two dates in Seoul, South Korea on July 5-6, then moves to North America with shows at L.A.’s SoFi Stadium on July 12, Chicago’s Soldier Field Stadium on July 18, Toronto’s Rogers Stadium on July 22, and New York’s Citi Field on July 26.

In early August, the tour moves to Europe for four additional dates. Blackpink will perform in Paris on Aug. 2, Milan on Aug. 6 and Barcelona on Aug. 9, with this summer leg closing out at London’s Wembley Stadium on Aug. 15.

Additionally, the graphic for the tour reveals that, looking ahead to early 2026, the group will be playing a three-night stand at the Tokyo Dome next January.

Tickets go on sale Feb. 27 at LiveNation.com, with on-sale times on that date varying by market.

This marks an unusually low number of shows for such a major act, which may be an indication that the four members — Jissoo, Jenny, Rosé and Lisa — are still primarily focused on their solo careers this year, although, as always with tour announcements of this nature, the possibility of additional dates being added looms large.

These are not the first U.S. stadium dates for Blackpink. The group played a much longer tour of stadiums in the summer of 2023, including stops at Dodger Stadium and a four-night stand at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium. The quartet also headlined Coachella that year.

Blackpink has not performed publicly together since closing out a 2023 tour in Seoul on Sept. 17, 2023.

The tour announcement did not include word of any new music coming from the group, but members have hinted that studio work will be forthcoming. “We knew there was no reason for us to stop it,” Rosé said in a recently published interview with The Cut magazine. “As much as we all needed some time to go out and explore and be our own people, we still have business left to do. We’ve got to do some more damage. We will be coming out with new music soon.”

Among recent solo releases from the group members, Jisoo released her first solo EP, the four-track “Amortage,” just last week; Lisa released the single “Born Again,” featuring guests Doja Cat and Raye, on Feb. 6, in the run-up to her debut solo album, “Alter Ego” (due out Feb. 28); Jennie put out the single “Love Hangover,” featuring Dominic Fife, in January, and is set to issue “Extra L,” featuring Doechii, this Friday; and Rosé released the singles “APT,” featuring Bruno Mars, and “Number One Girl” last fall, on the way to putting out her first full-length album, “Rosie,” in December.
