Bill Maher Dubs Trump, Vance and Zelensky the ‘Real Housewives of the White House’

Responding to Friday’s chaos—which included a meeting between Presidents Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky that grew ugly then was abruptly cut short, followed by a Fox News appearance in which Zelensky said he would not be apologizing to Trump—Bill Maher joked that Trump, Zelensky, and Vice President J.D. Vance are like the “Real Housewives of the White House.” It’s a characterization that’s difficult to refute after seeing footage of their Oval Office showdown.

On his HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher, Maher also quipped that he’s sure Trump considers the shouting match good TV, and he’s right: Trump did indeed say those exact words. In another life, it’s not hard to imagine that Trump could have done a fantastic job of pulling the strings at Bravo right alongside Andy Cohen.

Unfortunately for the world, the stakes are significantly higher here than they are when any of the Real Housewives get into screaming matches, leading Maher to joke that we’re now “on the other side” when it comes to World War III.

“The problem we have is that the man who’s running this country is hell-bent on sowing chaos, and Trump is doing nothing to stop him,” Maher continued, imploring Elon Musk to “come back to normal,” and asking him “what the f--- happened?”

Maher also referenced Musk’s demand that federal workers justify their positions via email, a move that was widely criticized but which he has since doubled down on, sending out a second round of emails late Friday once again asking federal employees to list five things they did this week.

Musk himself wouldn’t be out of place as a Real Housewife: His seemingly never-ending baby mama drama alone would qualify him for a spot. On Friday evening, Shivon Zilis, with whom Musk already has three children, announced the birth of their fourth child, Musk’s fourteenth.
