We love a low-cost dupe as much as the next girl, and so does Big Brother star Tully Smyth, it seems.

The reality TV star, who has returned to our screens on Big Brother Royalty vs New Blood, took to Instagram to spruik a cheaper Aussie knockoff of Charlotte Tilbury’s perennially sold-out Hollywood Beauty Wands.

Loved by celebs and influencers, the Charlotte Tilbury wands are liquid highlighters, bronzers and blushes, with a soft tip applicator to make sculpted features and glowing cheeks a breeze.

If you manage to get your hands on one, these babies set you back $60 a pop, which quickly adds up when you need three different shades for the perfect look, and is why a dupe wins so much attention on social media.

In a sponsored Instagram video, Tully Smyth raves about the Beauty Wands from MCoBeauty, which are a much more reasonable $28 each - and, if you snap them up, are on sale for just $19.60 in an online only Woolworths special.

“If these look familiar, it’s because they are the amazing, less-expensive dupes of the Charlotte Tilbury highlighter wands,” Tully says.

She then proceeds to use the Light/Medium contouring wand, the Champagne Glow highlighter and Peach Glow blush and says: “Guys I’m actually shook, I’m obsessed!”

How the dupe compares to the Charlotte Tilbury original

Over on TikTok, Aussie small business owner Sabrina Lynch has done a side-by-side swatch comparison of the MCoBeauty line with its Charlotte Tilbury counterparts.

While she found the contouring wand shade a fair bit warmer in the MCoBeauty range, the highlighter and blush were almost identical to the originals.

Another Aussie TikToker, Jarnah McMillan, describes the MCoBeauty products as “more than dupes, these are almost like straight up copies... even the font is the same, the way they open is the same, even the shape of the packaging is the same”.

She does a side-by-side comparison, making up half her face with products from each brand, and the difference is hard to spot.

Jarnah notes the MCoBeauty version is not as pigmented, but "really glowy".

She says it dries quicker than the Charlotte Tilbury originals, so recommends blending each colour immediately, rather than letting the bronzer sit unblended while you apply the highlighter and blush.

Just like the Charlotte Tilbury range, the MCoBeauty wands have a sponge tip applicator and the range of highlighters and blushes are ultra luminous, for a glowy finish.

The wands also have a handy twist stopper to prevent spills if the lid pops off in your makeup bag.

MCoBeauty’s blush comes in two tones, Peach Glow and Pink Glow which are dupes of the Peachgasm and Pinkgasm shades, while the Champagne highlighter is a close copy of Charlotte Tilbury’s Spotlight shade. The contouring wands come in a Light/Medium or Medium/Dark, just like the Charlotte Tilbury ones.

On sale for just $19 right now

The MCoBeauty wands are normally priced at $28 each, or $79 for a trio of highlighter, blush and contouring wands, and can be bought on the brand’s website or in store at Woolworths, Big W or Best&Less.

However, thanks to an online-only special now running at Woolies, you can pick up these guys for just $19.60 as part of a sale on MCoBeauty products.
