'Big Brother's Mike 'Boogie' Malin Arrested Again for Violating Restraining Order With Fellow Winner Will Kirby

Last week, TMZ reported Big Brother winner Mike "Boogie" Malin was arrested in Burbank for shoplifting from a series of CVS Pharmacy locations. And, less than a week later, he found himself once again behind bars, this time involving a previous restraining order against him from fellow winner, and onetime closest ally, Will Kirby.

TMZ once again gives the scoop, saying that Malin was arrested on Friday, Mar. 7, thrown into jail after a bench warrant was issued when he was a no-show at court. According to the publication, the hearing was in regards to him recently violating the restraining order that Kirby had against him, after allegedly contacting Kirby's wife directly.

Two decades ago, Malin and Kirby were thick as thieves. The two competed on Season 2 of the CBS reality show together, forming "Chilltown," one of the first alliances in series history. Kirby would go on to win that season, and the two would return five years later for an all-star season. Chilltown would go on to dominate the gameplay of the season, with both men making it to the final four. While Kirby got clipped at that stage, Malin got to the final two chairs, earning his own victory.

While staying good friends for years, things allegedly began to turn sour for the two towards the end of the 2010s. Supposedly, the pair had been contacted for an upcoming season of The Amazing Race, and when Kirby declined the opportunity, it sent Malin into a rage. It got to the point where Malin was stalking and issuing threats to Kirby and his family, prompting Kirby to report the situation to the police. Malin was arrested in August 2019, and in June 2021, he was found guilty of felony stalking and sentenced to two years probation, along with the aforementioned restraining order.

This incident was far from the last time Malin would run afoul of the law. The month after his sentencing, he found himself back in court, pleading guilty to a misdemeanor DUI. And in September 2022, he filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, hoping to have his numerous debts wiped clean.

Kirby’s attorney, Sam Ahmadpour, tells TM, “Protective orders exist for a reason, and no one is above the law. We expect full accountability for this violation.” We will wait to see what that accountability entails, and whether it incorporates anything from Malin's previous misdemeanors.
