Beyoncé pokes fun at Netflix's past livestreaming glitches in NFL Christmas teaser
Queen Bey strums a banjo with a football at her feet in the coy preview video.
Beyoncé is ready to touch down.
A day out from her NFL halftime performance for Netflix at the Baltimore Ravens-Houston Texans game on Christmas, the decorated musician released a clever teaser trailer. She parks a runaway football with her stiletto pump in the clip posted to social media Tuesday.
The crowd roars as the camera pans up to reveal the "Crazy In Love" singer strumming a banjo to the tune of her recent country crossover hit "Texas Hold 'Em." Finally, the screen buffers — a nod to Netflix's past livestreaming troubles — and resumes, with Bey delivering a devilish wink.

Netflix humorously replied to Beyoncé's post, writing "now hold on…" and changing its account bio to "roasted by beyoncé 12.24.24."
The Grammy-winning singer, dancer, and businesswoman hails from Houston, hometown of the Texans and the site of Wednesday's game. That makes her halftime show a homecoming, but the whole nation will be able to tune in — at least for a few hours.
The Ravens-Texans game begins streaming at 4:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. PT. Per the terms of Netflix's new deal with the NFL, the two Christmas games (the other being Chiefs vs. Steelers, commencing at 1 p.m. PT/10 a.m. PT) will expire three hours after the livestream ends. That means curtain call for the Beyhive is 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT.
The singer released her most recent album, Cowboy Carter, in March. She has not yet performed the album live, making this Houston homecoming a prime opportunity for a premiere.
Cowboy Carter led this year's slate of Grammy nominations, receiving 11 nods, including the coveted Record, Song, and Album of the Year trifecta. Beyoncé already held the title of most Grammy wins in history, but this year earned her another crown as the most nominated artist in Grammys history.
The album marks the singer's first full-length foray into country music, but it earned her no nominations at last month's Country Music Association awards, which fellow pop-country straddler Kelly Clarkson called "fascinating," because "those songs were everywhere."

As for Netflix, the streamer has faced criticism when past live events ran into technical issues. The season 4 reunion of Love Is Blind was delayed by 45 minutes in April 2023, and a portion of last month's livestreamed fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul glitched.
With Queen Bey on the field, the stakes are higher than ever for a smooth streaming experience. Watch the new teaser above.
