Ellen Degeneres buys Adam Levine's house for $45 million
Ellen Degeneres and Portia De Rossi have bought a brand new mansion for a cool $45 million dollars, and they got it at a steal.
The luxury mansion was previously owned by Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine, who originally listed the home for $47.5 million, but no doubt accepted his good friend’s slightly lower offer with good grace.
Mates rates among celebrities are a whole different ball game, apparently.
Images of the beautiful home from real estate Westside Estate Agency, show a tennis court, swimming pool, a normal kitchen and a chef’s kitchen, something called a ‘media room’ and the following bathroom and master bedroom.
It also measures over 10,000 square feet, or 930 square metres, and comes with a gym, spa and guest house.
As host of The Ellen Show, and a close friend of many a celebrity, we can only imagine what famous house guests will make full use of the luxurious guest quarters.
TMZ reports that Portia and Ellen just listed their former home for a mere $17.9 million so it’s safe to say they’re moving on up in the world.
Meanwhile Adam and his wife Behati Prinsloo have scooped up Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s former estate for $32 million, clearly downsizing going forwards.
Nothing like celebrities exchanging multi-million dollar mansions to put that $5 your friend owes you for coffee into perspective.
After all, what’s a couple of million between friends?
