If you're a fan of sports docuseries like Full Swing, Break Point, and Cheer, you'll be thrilled to hear that there are a handful of new ones launching on your favorite streaming platforms this summer.

On June 20, America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders came out on Netflix. The team behind Cheer and Last Chance U took fans behind the scenes of the iconic squad of women dancing on the field in white knee-high cowboy boots.

There's also been chatter of NBA and Boston Red Sox documentaries hitting streaming platforms soon, but there's been no confirmed titles or release dates yet.

Ahead, a list of the docuseries that will be released this summer.

June 20: America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders

America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboy's Cheerleaders premiered on Netflix on Thursday, June 20.

Viewers are be given the opportunity to see the sweat, tears, and eight-counts that these athletes endure to become a DCC. The series provides an intimate look at the effort it takes to make the squad—including all of the mental and physical strength it takes to become a member of one of the most iconic NFL cheer teams.

The docuseries is led by longtime director Kelli Finglass and gives viewers an intimate look at the personal stories of the cheerleaders, the uniforms, and the ambition and drive they all share for the sport, per Netflix.

July 2: SPRINT

The team behind Drive to Survive covers what it takes to become an Olympic track athlete in the new Netflix docuseries SPRINT.

The series will showcase the long journey from the 2023 Wold Championships to the 2024 Paris Olympics. Sha'Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles, and Shericka Jackson are just a few of the athletes featured throughout the series, according to Netflix.

SPRINT premieres ahead of the 2024 Olympics in Paris on July 2. You will be able to stream the series on Netflix.

July 10: Receiver

Receiver takes the focus off of NFL quarterbacks and places it on four receivers and one tight-end in the league.

The eight-episode docuseries follows Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel, and Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown throughout their 2023 season on and off the field.

Viewers will get a deeper look at each of the player's unique personalities, their skill set, and what drives them to be the elite athlete they are.

“We were thrilled last summer to see audiences all over the world diving into the lives of NFL quarterbacks,” NFL Films supervising producer Joe Zucco said to Netflix. “We believe the extraordinary skills, dedication, and passion of the NFL’s great wide receivers—and one tight end—will make a perfect follow-up.”

Receiver will premiere on Netflix on July 10.

July 17: Simone Biles Rising

Follow gymnast Simone Biles in this four-episode docuseries as she balances her personal life and mental health while training to compete in the Paris 2024 Olympics after withdrawing from the games in 2020.

The docuseries makes it clear that Simone has unfinished business, and that nothing will stop her at the upcoming Olympic games. The first part of the series will premiere on July 17 ahead of the Paris Olympics, per Netflix.

TBD: The Offseason

Women's soccer fans, this one's for you. Get ready to follow NWSL stars Maria Sanchez, Lo'eau LaBonta, Michelle Alozie, Taylor Smith, Nikki Stanton, Ally Watt, Taryn Torres, Paige Nielsen, and Ify Onumonu during pre-seaon—a critical time before the actual season begins in which athletes prepare to compete for a roster spot.

Filmed like a reality TV show, The Offseason follows the players as they live together in Florida during this intense training experience. They are provided with top-tier trainers, masseues, chefs, and gym equipment to create a high-level environment in which they can prepare their bodies for the upcoming season, according to the show's release and X account.

The six-episode docuseries was created by Gotham and USWNT star Midge Purce. The release date has not been announced, however, all episodes will be available to view on X, according to Just Women's Sports.
