Best Pitti Uomo Street Style – Maxi Coats, Heritage British Plaids and Americana Revival Defined the Look of the Season
A lot has been said about street style at Pitti Uomo. For sure, it has made the trade show the global phenomenon it is today. With the media attention, the Pitti peacocks emerged, at times transforming the trade fair into a bit of a costume party.
The scene found its way out of the blind spot, though, with real industry characters who are part of the Pitti Uomo tribe now reclaiming their place in the spotlight.

There will always be a few lost cowboys and those slightly outside the boundaries of influence, but for the fall 2025 season it was heartwarming to see them displaying their authenticity.
“Being at Pitti this season felt like coming back home for Christmas. It is predictable… but still you get that sense of warmth of being in a good place. Some things don’t change, but stability can be good,” said WWD’s Kuba Dabrowski.
In terms of commonalities, a lot of 1920s and ‘50s belted looks featured head-turning, raglan-sleeved, A-line topcoats, high-waisted palazzo pants and heritage plaids. The latter were ubiquitous in outerwear, suiting, scarves, you name it.
Americana and uniform references were also the go-to for this crowd. Bomber jackets, shearling coats and collegiate varsity jackets brought a flair of the American dream to European chic dressing.
When it came to the accessories, some of the essentials included bandanas, statement scarves, fedora hats and the fitted beanie; however, the return of the tie was in full display proving that comebacks are in for 2025.
