The Australian Beauty Products Chosen For The Oscars Goody Bag

What would you do if you got an email from the Academy Awards enquiring about featuring your beauty product in their infamous goody bags?

We would sign the dotted line immediately, however that wasn't the case for C Lab & Co creator Tijana Desancic, who thought the highly important mail was spam.

In fact, the founder of the Australian-owned brand failed to answer the Academy's second email and she told the Huffington Post she only took them seriously when they actually called her office.

"I was so shocked (and embarrassed) when we finally spoke to realise they were not kidding," she said.

However all has ended well and now Tijana and her 100 per cent natural body scrub are on their way to the Oscars in Hollywood.

The coffee scrub, which is now set to be used by some of the biggest superstars in the world, is made of all natural ingredients, including cracked, roasted and ground coffee, almond oil and citrus oil.

Now the scrub, which is available in Priceline, will be included in the gifting suite at Monday's Oscar awards, alongside some of the most sought-after products in the world.

"The day before the Oscars is usually the day celebrities attend 'meet and greets' before the big day and I believe this to be the case so that the celebrity isn’t in fact left lugging around a “goodie bag” in haute couture!," Desancic said.

250 tubs of the magical scrub will be gifted to Hollywood's elite, however there's no guarantee every celebrity will stop at her booth.

Also contacted last year by the Academy Awards was Western Australia boutique skincare company Willow Tree Lane Skincare, whose Hydrate Face Mask is set to be included in the Oscars goody bag this year.

Owner Ali Cole said she also disregarded numerous emails from the Oscars, sending them straight to her spam folder for several weeks.

However Ms Cole's face masks have now arrived safe and sound in LA, ready to be used by some of Hollywood's elite.
