Emma Roberts Was Bullied For Being So Pale
Emma Roberts was made fun of at school for being pale.
The 'American Horror Story' star has revealed she "begged" her mother to let her get a spray tan for the Teen Choice Awards in 2005 because she'd always been ridiculed by her school peers about her skin.

She told Allure magazine: "I remember I begged my mom to get a spray tan for [the Teen Choice Awards in 2005] because I always got made fun of in school for being pale. Now I see those pictures and I'm like, 'I look like I have a spray tan.' But at the time I thought I looked so good!"
Commenting on another old photo of her in 2010, she added: "My hair was way too dark. I don't like my hair that dark because I'm too pale and I end up looking like the Addams family."
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old beauty previously posed for a campaign and refused to have her photographs airbrushed and admits she was incredibly "nervous" ahead of the shoot.
She said: "Yes, of course! I was so nervous. When I first walked out on the set, I was wearing one of the cute Aerie bralettes and underwear with this cute plaid blanket, and I remember feeling excited as I was getting dressed and listening to music.

"But when I walked out, I had to do everything in my power to not run back in the room. For the first 20 minutes, I was panicking."
