One of Gwyneth Paltrow's latest Goop posts has raised eyebrows, to say the least.

The lifestyle guru has written a post for her website singing the praises for a day spa in Santa Monica, California.

"Tikkun is the next level when it comes to Korean spas," enthuses the actor, impressed by the spa's combination of "high-tech infrared heat" and traditional Korean therapies.

But the Himalayan salt brick tiled sauna and Hwangto clay room are mere distractions from the main event, according to Gwynnie.

"The real golden ticket here is the Mugworth V-Steam: You sit on what is essentially a mini-throne, and a combination of infrared and mugwort steam cleanses your uterus, et al. It is an energetic release—not just a steam douche—that balances female hormone levels," she writes. "If you’re in LA, you have to do it."

However experts have disputed Paltrow's claims about the benefits of V-Steam treatments, with burns and yeast infections named among its potential risks.
