And while we were lusting after the pink corset minidress and black, sheer lace ensemble she wore throughout the show, it was her hair and make-up we couldn't get enough of.

Yahoo7 Lifestyle spoke to hair director Dale Delaporte from Prema Hair backstage before the show, to find out how you can emulate the slicked back ponytail look at home.

“You need to use a good prep product first which is why we used a volume mousse,” Dale says.

“You need something that’s going to give it a bit of root so that you can give a good shape to it.

“A lot of girls would just brush their hair and use a load of hairspray and then it just always looks like there’s a crap load of hairspray. So prep is always a good thing.”

Dale insists that the secret to a fierce looking ponytail is taking more than one piece of hair at a time.

“If you have a lot of hair, do it in more than one ponytail," he recommends.

"So do a ponytail underneath first and then bring all of the hair in to it. It’s just going to give you a really strong face if you do that.”

Another tip the hair extraordinaire recommends is using a bungee which is like an elastic with tubes on the end.

"When you’re using an elastic band and you’re wrapping it around, it’s tends to all fall apart and then bubbles come through," Dale says.

"If you’re going for super, super, sleek pony pull it all back with all the product, tie it off and then just comb-over through the top again, release it and then retie it because then you’re going to have everything held into place and you’re going to push all those bubbles to the ponytail and out."

To make sure the whole thing stays put for the whole day, Dale says a nice dry hairspray is perfect to give the ponytail a light misting.

"Never spray too close to the hair, keep it 30cm away. It says it on the can for a reason," Dale says.
