Barry Keoghan reacts to Sabrina Carpenter's 'Bed Chem' performance at recent show

Keoghan, sadly, was not wearing a white jacket.

Who’s the boy with the black T-shirt and the thick accent at Sabrina Carpenter’s show? Why, it’s Barry Keoghan, of course.

The Saltburn actor attended two of his girlfriend’s concerts on her ongoing Short N' Sweet Tour in Raleigh, N.C., and Charlottesville, Va., over the weekend. And, naturally, all cameras at the event turned to catch his reaction when Carpenter played her spicy single, “Bed Chem.”

In video footage from the Charlottesville concert posted on social media, Keoghan can be seen giving fellow attendees a giddy look as Carpenter begins to sing the track before turning back to the stage and covering his face with his pass. He continued to smile and dance throughout the clip as Carpenter performs on top of a bed onstage.

Many of Carpenter’s fans believe that the lyrics to “Bed Chem” — which is about having sexual chemistry with someone — include multiple references to Keoghan as she sings about a man “with a thick accent” and “wide blue eyes.” It also notes that Carpenter was "in a sheer dress" the day that she met the unnamed man and that he wore a "white jacket," which many think is a nod to the outfits that they wore at a Givenchy event where they first met.

The song wasn’t the only supposed shout-out that Keoghan received over the weekend. Multiple outlets have reported that the “Espresso” singer also updated a lyric in her song “Juno” — “Oh, I hear you knocking baby, come on up” — to instead be “Oh, I hear you knocking Barry, come on up” at her Raleigh concert the previous evening.

Carpenter and Keoghan first sparked dating rumors after they were spotted together in December 2023. They made their first appearance together as a couple at a Grammys afterparty back in February and — despite reportedly being “on and off” — appear to still be going strong.

Keoghan also notably starred in Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” music video in June, which sees the pair transform into modern-day Bonnie and Clyde. Speaking with CBS Mornings earlier this month, Carpenter revealed that casting Keoghan to be her partner in crime for the video just made sense.

“I, genuinely — like, a not-even-biased opinion — I was like, 'Who's the greatest actor that I can find for this music video?' And he was next to me in a chair,” she said. “And he was so excited about it.”
