The “One of a Kind” collection reimagines several of The Frankie Shop’s signature pieces for Barbie, including the bestselling Boyfriend blazer, the Hayla jeans and the Eva muscle-padded T-shirt. These wardrobe staples have been reinterpreted burgundy, pink and chevron patterns giving a Barbiecore twist to the clean lined silhouettes.

“The oversize blazer is often described as ‘borrowed from the boys,’ but it’s an empowering piece for our customers,” explains Gaëlle Drevet, founder of The Frankie Shop. “Seeing Barbie in this silhouette was a true pinch-me moment.”

In addition to the core pieces, the collection introduces exclusive styles that seamlessly integrate this seasons trends with iconic Barbie patterns. The shoulder-padded T-shirt adds a bold structural touch to any look, while the slouchy Hayla jeans embraces the loose-fit denim trend reminiscent of the ‘90s that has made a resurgence.

The campaign itself features three exclusive Barbie dolls — two Barbie dolls and one Ken. The dolls feature diverse traits, including salt-and-pepper hair and Ken’s curly locks.

The collaboration holds a personal significance for Drevet, who recalls her childhood memories of Barbie and the inspiration behind the collection. “Barbie has been with me from a young age. I remember asking my mom for a specific Barbie outfit, but we couldn’t afford it. My mom ended up recreating it herself with her sewing machine. She is my muse, for this collection as I envision and dress Barbie in my signature style.”

The collection will make its global debut on Wednesday during Paris Fashion Week, celebrating Barbie’s 65-year legacy. It will be available online at thefrankieshop.com, as well as in a specially curated pop-up space next to The Frankie Shop’s women’s store in Paris. The immersive retail experience, will invite customers to embrace their inner Barbie with a life-size Barbie box, and an on-site illustrator creating personalized Barbie portraits.
