Less than one month after Jessica Marais announced that she was stepping back from the Packed To The Rafters reboot, her replacement has been revealed.

The first official photo from the reboot of Back To The Rafters was released today, with a new face taking on the iconic role of Rachel Rafter.

Australian actress Georgina Haig will join Hugh Sheridan and Angus McLaren along with many of the original cast members in the Amazon Studios series, which is being produced by Seven Studios.

Georgina was most recently seen in Secret Bridesmaids Business and before that she acted in Reckless and Road Kill.

Back in February in a statement released by RGM Management, it was revealed that Jessica Marais would not return to the show.

“Jessica Marais has decided to step away from the new series Back to the Rafters for personal reasons,” the statement started.

“She thanks everyone involved on the show for their ongoing support and love, especially her ‘Rafter’s family’, and sends them her very best wishes for the production.”

The new season of Rafters picks up six years since we last saw the Rafter family.

Dave and Julie have created a new life in the country with youngest daughter Ruby, while the older Rafter children face new challenges.
