Bachie fans angry as Honey Badger gives Cass the boot
She was dubbed a ‘stage five clinger’ after declaring her feelings for the Honey Badger very early on in the game.
But it seems Australia has had a change of heart after watching our Bachelor give Cassandra Wood the boot last night, in one of the most heartbreaking moments from the series.
After weeks of watching Cass fall deeper and deeper in love with the rugby player — while he appeared to remain relatively uninterested — fans have taken to Twitter to air their anger and accuse him of “leading her on”.
It seems many think the Badger was too careless with Cass’ heart and branded him “cruel”, declaring that she “deserves better” than the 30-year-old.
He should NOT have kept Cass on this long when he clearly didn’t feel strongly for her! That was a LOW BLOW! Poor Cassy #TheBachelorAu

If Nick knew Cass wasn’t for him, he should never have strung her along for as long as he did! That was just cruel! #TheBachelorAU

Shut your pie hole Nick. You’re making her feel worse. Just let her go and NO! YOU CAN’T ‘still be friends’ #poorcassie #TheBachelorAU #BachelorAU

Others expressed their regret over “bagging” the blonde from the start, revealing they were just as broken hearted as she was over being dumped.
I know I bagged cass at the start but her heart just got broken on national TV which broke my heart #TheBachelorAU

I’m crying. God bless her little cotton socks. (I said that today and my kids had no idea what I meant so you guys probably won’t either.) #teamcass #TheBachelorAU

One person even started a movement called, ‘I Stand With Cass’, encouraging disheartened Bachie fans to “throw out their diaries” in protest.

Since the painful episode aired, Cass has spoken out on Instagram, saying Nick was “the one that got away” for her in the real world, explaining that was why she had such strong feelings for him.
“Unfortunately by the end, he felt we had hit ‘a ceiling’. At the end of the day, it is what it is, and I completely respect his decision,” she wrote.
“I have no regrets and even though the experience was extremely hard, at least I was able to walk away with closure.”
While Nick may have brutally shunned the 24-year-old on national TV last night, we’re sure he won’t be forgetting her tiny black bikini from their first date.
