Bachelorette star reveals unseen moment during ‘chaotic’ cocktail party

With the final single date card up for grabs, The Bachelorette contestants went absolutely wild in an attempt to impress Brooke during Wednesday night’s cocktail party.

The men and women organised plenty of cute gifts and surprises for the show’s leading lady, including a bouquet of flowers, a rose necklace, a heartfelt letter, and sangria, but it turns out fans didn’t get to see everything that went down.

Chatting with Yahoo Lifestyle, recent eliminees and intruders, Will Sadler and Luca Fraraccio, opened up about the unseen moments from the night.

“It was a bit of a wild scramble,” Will began. “Everyone just started doing things and eventually more people were doing stuff than not. Everyone was just like, far out, if I’m that person that’s not doing something then it’s going to look really bad.”

In an effort to show Brooke just how invested he was, the 31-year-old landscaper gifted her a ring with a rather significant meaning.

"It all stemmed from a previous conversation we had, which didn’t make it to air,” he explained.

“I asked Brooke what she’s looking for in a partner - and from my point of view, particularly about a male partner - and she said that she’s looking for a unicorn.

“She said that trying to find that perfect guy is like trying to find a unicorn, they’re just so rare. So I tried to show her that I was listening and I’m wishing her all the best for whatever happened in the whole experience, so I got her a little ring with a little unicorn on it.

“I was like, I hope one of these people here is your unicorn, even if it’s not me. But if it’s not, at least you’ve got one out of it.”

‘I was upset’

As for 25-year-old P.E. teacher Luca, who described the night as “chaotic”, he wanted to do something special for Brooke to demonstrate that he was there for her.

“For me, it was kind of showing Brooke an insight to what a future would look like with me,” he detailed.

“So I thought I’d make a little romantic adventure box and we could grab something out every weekend together and do something random and fun and just make a collection of memories. But yeah, obviously she wasn’t too keen on it.”

Luca went on to admit he didn’t think it was his time to leave the show yet, having received a single date just a few episodes earlier.

“I felt like we had a really strong connection, everything was going really well,” he said. “So I didn’t expect it, but at the same time, Brooke has obviously formed connections with other people that I don't know about.”

“Initially I was upset, but I put myself in Brooke’s shoes and went, this is her love story,” Luca continued.

“She's got to find someone who aligns with her future more and that obviously wasn’t me, and she saw it in everyone else who was left in the mansion. I just hope she finds happiness.”

‘If I were to have my time over again…’

Meanwhile, Will confessed that he had a feeling he would be eliminated based on the other people still competing on the show.

“I think that there were definitely stronger connections and better chemistry with other people in the mansion, so I kind of saw that one coming,” he said.

Speaking about coming into the house as a latecomer, Will admitted he wasn’t prepared for how “fast-paced” everything was.

“You really have to be on your toes,” he reflected. “It was great and it was hectic at the same time.

“I found it hard to put myself out there and really go for it. I didn’t want to step on any toes, but in those situations, I think if I were to have my time over again, you just have to go for it at any opportunity.”

Luca, on the other hand, said he didn’t think being an intruder was too much of a disadvantage and the experience was actually better than he expected.

“I think I was expecting people in the mansion to not be awesome, but everyone in there was just so nice and lovely and I made some really great friends,” he described.

“The whole experience is something that I'm never going to forget. It was one of the most awesome things I’ve ever done in my life.”
