Yahoo Lifestyle Ariana Grande Glinda-Fies New York City in Two ‘Wicked’-Coded Looks

The Wicked press tour has taken its two leading ladies—Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande—through premieres across the world, which inevitably means that their method dressing has tagged along with them.
In the latest Wicked pit stop, Ari Glinda-fied the streets of New York City with what has become her trademark shade of pink. The pop superstar-turned-musical theater icon was spotted on the Upper West Side on Tuesday (November 12). As she strutted down the sidewalk, she once again embodied the Good Witch in an all-pink ensemble.
The centerpiece of her look was a pale pink minidress emblazoned with a metallic floral brocade pattern all over. The dress featured structured puff sleeves, which fell right above the celeb’s elbow. She completed the fit with transparent nude tights and a pair of pretty pink satin pumps.
Later in the day, Ari arrived in Midtown arm-in-arm with Cynthia all the while coordinating in black jackets: The Nickelodeon alum sported a long black wool coat with a belted waist, while the Tony Award winner wore a slick black leather jacket with boxy pockets and buckles at the ends of the sleeves.
Underneath Ariana’s coat, a sliver of a white maxi dress and white Gianvito Rossi heels could be seen—a nod to the original ivory dress that Glinda wears in L. Frank Baum’s 1900 novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. As for Cynthia, the iconic actor paid homage to her character, Elphaba, by wearing an olive green sweater with a layered ruffled black maxi skirt, complete with black satin pumps.
