Ariana Grande finalizes divorce, will pay ex-husband Dalton Gomez $1.25 million per prenup
The pop star filed to dissolve her marriage to the real estate broker last fall.
Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez are officially divorced.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judgment dissolving the pop star's marriage to the real estate broker was finalized Tuesday, according to the Associated Press. Grande, 30, and Gomez, 28, were married for nearly three years and had a prenuptial agreement. They did not have any children.
Per the prenup, Grande will pay Gomez a onetime sum of $1.25 million, with no future alimony. She will also give him half the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles home and cover up to $25,000 of his legal fees.
Representatives for Grande didn't immediately respond to request for comment Tuesday.
Grande and Gomez separated more than a year ago, according to court papers, and she filed a petition for divorce in September, citing irreconcilable differences. The former couple agreed to a settlement in October but were required to wait six months for the judge's order to take effect.
Gomez and Grande wed in a private ceremony in May 2021, after dating and living together through the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Grande, who released her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, earlier this month, will next be seen as Glinda in the big-screen adaptation of Wicked. When Grande filed for divorce in the fall, it was in the midst of rumors that she was dating her Wicked costar Ethan Slater, who was also married at the time. Slater has also reportedly filed for divorce from his estranged wife, Lilly Jay.
