MTV reality star found dead at 23
A star of US reality TV show Are You The One? has been found dead aged 23, just three months after celebrating her sobriety.
West Virginia’s Mannington Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE that Alexis Eddy, who appeared on season six of the MTV show, had passed away on Thursday.
After responding to a call from Alexis’s home just before 7am local time, officers arrived to find a female who had suffered from cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead at the scene, a public relations officer told the publication. The cause of death is not yet known.
As one of the young singles looking for love on Are You The One? in 2017, Alexis found fame with her hard-partying ways and colourful backstory.
During her time on the show, Alexis opened up about her past struggles with drugs, however, late last year she shared her joy at being ‘clean and sober’ on social media.
“Guuuuuys look at this pic of me n my daddio finally sober together pic on the right was two years ago... what a difference. So very blessed today. #RecoveryRocks,” she tweeted on September 29, 2019.

“Recovery at its finest ;) Gr8ful 2 b clean & sober #justfortoday,” she captioned the photo.
