Arby's Jumps on the Pumpkin Train With New Fall Dessert Offering
Arby’s is the latest restaurant chain to jump in on the pumpkin-flavored fun just in time for fall.
Over the last several weeks, people have been getting hyped for autumn as McDonald’s, Costco, Krispy Kreme, Starbucks and many others unveiled their special menu and seasonal item offerings. Many of them have fallen in line with the pumpkin and pumpkin spice trends that tend to be favored this time of year.
On Saturday, Aug. 24, food blogger Markie Devo revealed that Arby’s will also be offering customers a pumpkin-flavored special menu item, though it is only expected to be available to order for a limited time.
According to Devo, who shared the news on Instagram, Arby’s will soon add a Pumpkin Pie Turnover to its fall menu. In addition to being on point with the beloved seasonal flavor, the triangle-shaped treat also appears to include a nod to the impending 2024 NFL season, with cream cheese icing decorating the turnover in the same way that laces appear on a football.
Devo described the turnover itself as featuring “a flaky pastry, sweet pumpkin pie filling,” with the tasty frosting added on top. An Arby’s employee told the food blogger that the new menu item will be available starting on Sept. 30 at participating locations.
Though the Pumpkin Pie Turnovers will only be on the restaurant chain’s fall menus for a “limited time,” it was unclear how long that time block would last, as of writing.
Fans appeared to be mixed in their reactions to the news about the special menu item’s impending arrival. Some noted they don’t enjoy the taste of turnovers in general and aren’t curious enough about the pumpkin pie flavor to give the new one a try.
But those who were captivated by the treat seemed eager for fall to begin so they could test it out.
“They look good!👏😍,” one Instagram user wrote.
Another Arby’s customer who noted they’ve previously tried the chain’s “so good” chocolate turnovers said they will be testing the pumpkin pie flavor “for sure.”
“This might be worth the effort. 🤷🏼♀️,” another person speculated.
