A frustrated mum’s hilarious shopping list for her husband has gone viral, after she got so annoyed with him not helping out around the house that she decided to send him a wild groceries goose chase.

“OMG my hubby has been lying on the couch all morning while I’m doing soooo much stuff so I finally got super annoyed and sent him to the grocery store… with a special shopping list,” blogger Karen Alpert, better known Baby Sideburns, wrote on Facebook.

She posted a picture of the shopping list, which included 3% milk, seedless strawberries and fat-free hummus.

The list continued, with bizarre items such as unsour cream, diet diet coke, mellow cheese and organic pop tarts.

Her followers were left in stitches by the prank, especially when Karen revealed that she had turnd her phone off so her husband wouldn’t be able to contact her once he got to the shops.

Most people called the list ‘genius’, while others said they were 100% going to try this themselves.

One woman said she should have put ‘stringless tampons’ on the list to really confuse him and send him to the shops with the kids to really test his patience.

Others shared their own stories, with one woman saying she sent her husband to the shops before to get black pepper. He came back saying he could only see ‘red green and yellow pepper. No black’ – this is because in the UK they call capsicums peppers.

Another woman said she once sent her son to the shops to get freezer bags and when he was there he rang her husband and said: “I’m on the frozen aisle but I cannot find the freezer bags”.

A shop worker commented saying: “You send these men in to annoy me with these crazy requests. So thanks.”

While most people asked Karen to post a photo of what her husband actually brought back from the shops, all her followers are still waiting with bated breath.
