Anne Hathaway has tied the knot!

The Les Miserables actress, 29, married Adam Shulman, 31, on the California coast Saturday night.

After more than four years together, the pair said their vows in a private ceremony attended by more than 150 guests.

Hathaway wore a custom gown by Valentino Garavani.

The actress said of Shulman, an actor and jewellery designer:

"We hit it off immediately, but it took us a pretty long time to get together."

Hathaway told Harper's Bazaar that her then-fiance was more 'mellow' than past relationships, adding:

"Mellow doesn't always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life."

The Dark Knight Rises star met Shulman after ending a four-year relationship with Raffaello Follieri, an Italian businessman who pled guilty in 2008 to 14 counts of conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering.

After moving on past her messy breakup with Follieri, Hathaway told USA today of her new man:

"I'm so delighted by [Adam]. He's all the things you want a partner to be. I so find joy in his presence."
